Skandalo Nacional was the Shit!!!!! This year it was held at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood Ca. Lots of great bands performed like ekolekua, ninefiveone, Los P2, Todadiscos, Almalafa, Cerebro Negro, Kofre, and many more. We had the honor to play for everyone in the main room. Even though there wasnt any Alcohol being sold, the crowd still had fun!!! Much love and Respect to Pure Underground Ent. and Concrete Jungle for putting this event together. Here are some pictures. Oh and i forgot to mention that Ricky and Fernando didnt get the Memo on the outfit.haha.

Telemundo Buenos Dias Los Angeles

What up everyone.. Sorry its been a while.. Well i wanted to post up some pictures from our TV appearance this past Friday. La Banda Skalavera got the opportunity to appear on Telemundo's local LA channel during the morning show. We were interviewed a little and also played a couple songs. Oh and yes it was playback in case you couldn't tell. ha ha.. It was a long day. We had to be at the studios at 4 am. And most of us had to get back to work after that. It was good overall. We were able to speak a little about the ska scene and what ska is. Most viewers probably aren't as exposed to our lifestyle so it was cool to share that with everyone through this show. Tonight LBS will be playing at Skandalo Nacional 2009 @ the Knitting Factory. It should be a dope show. See you there.

So last night we had to honor of sharing the stage with some dope bands. I believe Pimbot was present all the way from Hawaii. And of course the Debonaires represented as always. Much love and RESPECT to them. One of the sickest and tightest bands. We want to thank everyone for coming out. The crowd was cool. No drama. And most of ALL everyone was grooving to the sounds of all the bands.

Practice was interesting. We went over our set list along with some new material. It went well for the most part. After practice and a few chellas....we headed to Denny's. THere we were loud as usual and ate like cochinitos. We ragged on each other like always and called it a night.

La Banda Skalavera is heading out to practice tonight. We are going to be going over our usual set along with some songs that you normally dont hear us perform live. WHATS UP EVERYONE!!!

We, La Banda Skalavera, have decided to start this blog so that you can get to know us more personally.  We will be blogging before and after every show, tours, recordings, news, and even rehearsals from time to time.  However, our main concern this year is to involve everyone as we prepare for our First European Tour. Yes, that's right.  La Banda Skalavera will be touring at the end of the year in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and possibly France thanks to our recent signing with Ubersee Records! Ubersee works with artist such as Panteon Rococo, La Plebe, Los Calzones, and our good friends Wisecraker to name a few.
